"He who has a thing to sell and goes and whispers in a well is not as apt to get the dollars as he who climbs a tree and hollers."

I don't recommend you climbing a tree and hollering, after all you are a real estate professional but you do need to get the word out.  My clients tell me that most of their business is coming from their web sites so if you're not generating what you expect from your web site you should be  "getting the word out."

First thing, you must put your web address on your letterhead, business cards, home for sale signs, on your car signage, bumper stickers and of course in all advertising that you do.  Put a signature file at the end of all of your emails so that each time you are sending an email your web address and contact information is attached.  Make sure you site is listed in all the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Alta Vista, DMOZ and real estate directories such as Realtorsontheweb.com .  If you don't want to submit to all the search engines then use a submission service like Prosubmitclub.com or Cyberken.com.

I have noticed that some real estate professionals while they have their own web addresses such as cyberken.com are still using an email address from their internet provider or other email service.  You must use your domain name as your email so that each time you send an email you are promoting your domain address.  If your hosting company does not provide email service for your domain address contact us at Cyberken.com for hosting assistance.

Add a page to your web site at least four times a year, once a quarter.  Each time you add a page to your web site you increase the ability for someone finding that page as a doorway to your site.  Create a page about your city or something you did participating in your community or an award you won for providing outstanding service or information about schools in your area.  Providing information about your city, informs the visitor to you site, and makes you the knowledgeable professional in your community they grow to trust and call when they are buying their new home.
